J.Behring Handmade Woodmonk Crotch Stag Brass butt caps
This J. Behring Handmade Treeman " Woodmonk Woodcraft & Nesmonk Cross" has a 5 1/2" hand forged blade hammered down to a fast cutting .200 with a convex grind and a razor sharp edge. Nice wide blade woth that high top clip just right for the perfect skinner. Big choil that not only looks good it makes it easy to sharpen the blade when needed. The silver soldered guard is brass and the hidden tang handle has a big stack of hand cut washers of horsehide .black, thin maroon brass and vintage westinghouse micarta . Horsehide is the only way to go with a leather handle. Its 3 times denser than cow leather. It will last a life time and hold up to hard use. The butt is sambar stag with brass pinned caps. They look great and add much value to the knife. They take a long time to make and when done right but they will never come off. I pinn all my butt casp and then use 2 ton epoxy to make it all like one piece. Overall length is about 11". I can have just about any style of sheath you want made for this knife from a pouch to a pancake belt sheath. Your call. I can have the sheath done in about 2 weeks. This is one hell of a knife and its priced to sell. Sheath included. Thanks, Jim Behring
